The Floating Man.
This image is from a wooden votive figure, found at the Source-De-La-Seine, France, 1st Century A.D. The figure dressed in what looks life a duffel coat has an exaggeratedly large head, in-turned toes, but no arms. I have cheered the "original figure" up with a smiling, contemplating look. One of the features of pagan Celtic art was an emphasis on fertility, this might have something to do with the shape of our man.
