Joy in the Presence a path in peace 2015-

Visual Meditation Books.

This on going project began 1.1.15. One artwork has been produced and added every day since that date. There are now over 4000 in the piece ( and counting ). 

   The piece explores our understanding of time and the precious nature of the 'moment'. Although the viewer and artist ‘lived through’ the same time frame from January 2015 to the present, they are now able to view history as a series of parallel days, jumping from one day to the next in any order they prefer as if they were time travelling! It also explores the idea of ‘active space’- the time one ‘sleeps’ and carries out other activities between the creation of the component images of the artwork. The artworks are actually 'moment markers'. It is an attempt to offer a definition of this ‘active space’ through the combination of imagery shown and consequently reveal what cannot be seen by the eye alone.

Through meditating on the images a deeper understanding is offered. 

Joy In The Presence A Path In Peace has reached another landmark, 3000 artworks created on consequetive days since January 1st, 2015. A path through joy, pain, love, loss and hope. A journey exploring where the mind can travel when present. Influences of many cultures including African, Asian, Aboriginal, Tibetan, European and native Wales. Adventures in understanding the Cosmos and deep emotional states. Joy In The Presence is a path through it all- and why? To gain a personal understanding of the nature of peace? Awakening the wisdom needed to observe, experience and generate the qualities of Peace. A deep connection with our nature both inside and out and a profound awareness of the inter-connected experience of our life. Love, kindness, compassion and wisdom help us navigate this life in Peace. May we all experience these qualities.
