‘Look after each other and care for each other. When it all comes down to it at the end of my life, I will not be giving people instructions of details on how to run a successful business ,I will be responding to how those around me are. The family is very important to me, both my close family and those I share my time with each day.  The more you give to more you receive. The heart of the matter is a matter of the heart.

My parents were students when we were growing up, we lived in a caravan and did not have much money. My Dad worked his socks off to gain grants and after years of hard work became a Professor. He was always a good laugh my Dad, always supporting. My Mum who gained the highest score in the 11+ in the area always made sure we were brought up in an environment of love. Both my brothers and I played a lot. We had fun.  We used to make a game out of anything, like racing each other up the stairs; it’s why I still play games today with my staff. I was also fortunate to have some great primary school teachers.  John Williams and Dave Morgan were a massive influence in my life. Boys do need good men in their lives to show them the right way. As for my humour Morecambe and Wise, Tommy Copper, Ken Dodd, I love it!

I’ve been poor and I’ve been rich, and rich is better as long as you can handle it. Fruit grows in the valleys not the mountain tops learn from your difficult times and your mistakes; it will make the mountain top a much better place for everyone. As Winston Churchill once said success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.

I am by nature a happy person and I do all I can to create a happy environment around me. At school I was the joker in the class and every day at the Call Centre we try to have as much fun as we can. Happy people sell and no matter whom you are or what your profession is we are all in sales to some degree or other. At the Call centre colleagues have to take a lot of knock backs, I say to them SW, SW, SW, N- some will, some wont, so what, next. We all have to take knock backs in life, just get back in the saddle with a smile on your face and ride.’
